PPP-led coalition's end drawing nearer: Nawaz Sharif
    Singapore Star
    Friday 10th September, 2010
    (ANI)

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif has said that the Pakistan People's Party (PPP)-led coalition is drawing nearer to its end by persistently defying the Supreme Court orders.

Sharif also claimed that the coalition was pursuing policies which have multiplied the problems of the common man besides tarnishing the image of the country abroad.

He further said that the situation would aggravate unless the government stops violating the apex court's directives or fails to take action against people involved in corruption scandals.

"The situation can be controlled if the government mends its ways," The Nation quoted Sharif, as saying.

The former Prime Minister also said that the government would not have to seek foreign assistance for relief and rehabilitation of the 20 million flood-affected people if it had eliminated corruption from all state institutions. (ANI)
