Pakistan fast bowler Wahab Riaz would be questioned by Scotland Yard detectives on Tuesday in connection with the 'spot-fixing' allegations against the team.

Riaz made his debut in The Oval Test against England, and was also part of the team for the fourth and final Test played at Lord's.

Pakistan Test captain Salman Butt, and fast bowlers Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif, originally named in a 'News of the World' investigation, have already been interviewed by police and released without charge or condition.

The 25-year-old took 5-63 in the first innings of his debut, and claimed seven wickets in total in his two Test matches, bowling seven wides and 13 no-balls.

"We have arranged for his (Riaz) interview as we will continue to co-operate and we want to get to the bottom of the matter," The BBC quoted Ijaz Butt, Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman, as saying.

However, team manager Yawar Saeed said that he has noinformation about Riaz's forthcoming police interview.

"I don't know about this, but I am sure they will tell me if it's true," Saeed said.

When asked if the land-handed fast bowler would be included in the starting XI for the upcoming ODI series, Saeed said: "Unless he's dropped, he will play. If I'm told 'don't play X, Y, Z', they won't play. If I'm not told, I'll select the best team, but I've not been told anything. Let's wait."

Pakistan is scheduled to play a five-match ODI series against England, starting at Durham on Friday. (ANI)
