    (ANI)

Kathmandu, May 11 : Newly appointed Indian ambassador to Nepal Rakesh Sood on Sunday called on the Communist Party of Nepal- Maoist (CPN-M) leadership.

During the meeting held at Maoist Chairman Prachanda's residence, Sood discussed the formation of a new government, coordination among political parties and the King's exit among other issues with the Maoist leadership, sources said.

According to Kantipur, Maoist chairman was flanked by party's senior leader Dr. Baburam Bhattarai at the meeting that lasted for about an hour.

This is the fourth official meeting of Sood after he took up his responsibility as the Indian ambassador.

Meanwhile, leaders of Terai Madhes Democratic Party (TMDP) proposed Maoist Chairman Prachanda for constitutional amendment including the agendas of the previous agreements forged with the agitating groups.

Following the proposal, Prachanda urged the TMDP leaders to participate in the government and assist in drafting a new constitution.

Earlier today, another Madhes-based party, Madhesi People's Rights Forum (MPRF) that emerged as the fourth largest party in the Constituent Assembly (CA) election, proposed the Maoist leadership to form the new government prior to the first CA meeting.
